So how does the affiliate program work?

By simply linking your website to ours, you can earn a $5 commission on any membership sign up coming from your website. It is easy to link to our site - after becoming a partner, we will provide both text link and banner link options for your website (can also be used for your emails). You choose where you would like to place these links on your website. There are no program or setup fees involved. Make money using your website by promoting KarateCoaching.com memberships. Our system tracks people that come from an affiliate's link. If this person coming from your link signs up then you will get your affiliate commission. Every new member that signs up at KarateCoaching.com coming through your affiliate link will earn you $5 - every month as long as the person stays a member. You will be able to track your progress and earnings within your affiliate account manager on KarateCoaching.com.

We will pay commissions on a monthly basis, once you've accumulated $100 (all sold memberships will be considered "pending" for 30 days after the sign up to eliminate potential payment processing issues etc.). Our support team will walk you through the process of setting up the links on your site and on how to view your online reports of all your sign ups. We will provide you with a log in to view your earned and pending commissions.

 

In short:

1. Visitor clicks on an affiliate link from your site
2. The visitors IP is logged and a cookie is placed in their browser for tracking purposes.
3. The visitor browses our site, and may decide to order.
4. If the visitor orders (the order need not be placed during the same browser session--cookies and IPs are stored indefinitely), the order will be registered as a sale for you.
5. We will review and approve the sale.
6. You will receive commission payouts (if your balance is at least $100) via PayPal.

 

We do have some basic ground rules for the program, so please read before signing up:

• All participants must have a PayPal account (in order to receive payouts).
• All participants in the US must enter a US Social Security or Taxpayer ID number. International customers simply enter "International" in this field.
• You may NOT receive credit for referring yourself.
• You are responsible to pay taxes on these earnings and declare them on your tax returns

Participants caught violating or attempting to circumvent these rules will have all affiliate credit voided and will not receive payouts. Additionally, they will be banned from further participation in our affiliate program.

 

How to promote your affiliate link?

Passive promotion:

1) The easiest way is to use your affiliate link as a hyperlink in your emails asking people to become members at KarateCoaching.com.
2) Install the KarateCoaching affiliate banner on your (dojos) website and ask your members to join KarateCoaching as a valuable resource and the world's biggest Karate database.

Active promotion:

If you travel a lot and are very active in the Karate community by for example giving seminars, you might want to consider collecting before or after each seminar email addresses of all participants. You can then email them your affiliate link and tell them what a great website KarateCoaching.com is and the values of being a member.

The best way for you to become sign ups and to promote your affiliate link is by becoming a KarateCoaching contributor:

a) Become a Blog contributor:

If you are a writer and author and you want to keep the momentum going on your "fan" base have them follow not only the KarateCoaching blog but specifically your blog posts. The more valuable your blog posts are the more likely you will get people to sign up. You can make certain blog posts open and public for anybody so get people interested and have other blog posts, articles but also videos within the KarateCoaching membership pages. Followers of yours would then have to become members to see the rest of your blog posts, articles, videos etc.

b) Become a Video contributor:

Videos are a good way to get people curious about you and what you have to say or demonstrate - no writing skills are required (sorry therefor video editing). Anyway if you don't like to write you can become a video contributor. You create your video(s) and we will either put them up on our blog to get people curious about what you have to show or we will put them up into the member section - depended on your recommendation and wish. Email us your video(s) or send them via DVD or via DropBox and we will put them up.
For both blog or video contributors we highly recommend to have a certain amount of content available for free to get people curious and interested. Nobody will sign up if they don't know you and know what you have to offer.
