Kokutsu Dachi

Kokutsu Dachi (Back Stance)

The Feet are alined on one line. The back foot points 90 degrees outwards and so does the knee (make sure you don’t push the knee out too much). The front foot points straight forward and so does the knee (push the front knee slightly to the outside to gain more pressure and stability in your stance). Bend your front knee and lower your hip. The back leg is bent and try to put your weight on your angle. Keep your upper body straight.

Weight distribution:

30% of your body weight is on your front foot, 70% on your back foot.
