Zenkutsu Dachi

Zenkutsu Dachi (Front Stance)

The feet are shoulder width apart. The back foot points as much forward as you are flexible: The outer edge of the back foot is pushed to the ground. The front foot is slightly tilted to the inside just to allow more outside pressure. Bend your front knee until you can’t see your big toe any longer or think somebody could sit on your leg without sliding off. The back leg is straight with your gluteus tight and pushing forward. Keep your upper body straight.

Weight distribution:
60% of your body weight is on the front foot,
40% is on the back foot.
