Position your body at any distance to the student. Give the command “go” and the student turns around and needs to reach the partner through footwork and cover the distance. To keep it simple leave it up to the student to select a technique.

Outrun the incoming Mae Geri attack by quickly move your hip back. “Swing” back forward like a pendulum with your counter. It is extremely important that your speed of going backwards and “swinging” forward surpasses the speed of the opponent. You can only gain advantage through the right speed/timing so you can outrun the Mae Geri attack.
