Kata Heian Godan
Description: Heian Godan challenges the student with body shifting from ZKD into KKD - usually this learning step will also show up in the Kyu program with exercises that will further train the shifting of the weight into different stance. Further, this Kata has the first jump to master and teaches the student 3 different levels of the hip: low (Kosa Dachi), standing (Renoji Dachi) and the jump. It is important that the student displays a clear understanding that the hip must change level from low to standing to jumping.
