Kata Team Lining Up Exercises:
Listed below are some ideas on how to line up with a Kata Team. All team members should switch through and every member of the team should have had every position. This way every team member will be sensitive for the timing and execution of the other two members in forward and backwards but also right and left moves.

This is the regular way to line up for the Kata Team demonstration. On the walk in onto the tatami the person in the front takes 5 steps and the two in the back only 3 steps. However by now there are many other ways on walking in onto the tatami that work as well.

Line Up Exercise 1 for Kata Team:
This line up can not be used for tournaments but it is a good way to exercise syncronisity. The two people that usually stay in the back move forward to the front. This will help with the timing and execution of the techniques.

This line up can be helpful if one team member has problems with the timing (or speed) of the other two members.

This line up can be helpful to exercise the speed (but also timing) of the team.
